Description

Bowed Traverse is a floor sculpture carved from solid teak, with curved bands framing an elongated opening.

The defining transition where the primary mass, carved recess and continuous teak grain meet. The ebonized teak finish is hand-rubbed to a restrained low sheen, preserving grain direction, tonal variation and the quiet evidence of carving.

For floor placement in spacious interiors. Compare the listed dimensions with your room and delivery path before choosing a size.

Scale and placement

Small: 44 H × 80 W × 26 D in · CF-BTR-001-S
Medium — Recommended: 60 H × 108 W × 36 D in · CF-BTR-001-M
Large: 76 H × 136 W × 46 D in · CF-BTR-001-L

Medium is the recommended scale. Small and Large preserve the same approved form through uniform scaling. This monumental floor work requires a stable level surface and a reviewed delivery path.

Material and making

Hand-carved from solid teak and made to order. Natural grain, small tonal shifts and subtle hand-finished transitions are intrinsic to each work. Custom sizing may be requested and is quoted separately after placement, proportion, structure, delivery route and lead time are reviewed.
