Description

Balance Fold is a abstract wood sculpture carved from solid teak, with a broad diagonal fold across a grounded upright form.

The convex fold ridge under raking light, where hand carving leaves a restrained change in grain direction. The pale washed teak finish is hand-rubbed to a restrained low sheen, preserving grain direction, tonal variation and the quiet evidence of carving.

For display on a suitably sized pedestal or console. Compare the listed dimensions with your surface and sightlines.

Scale and placement

Small: 22 H × 19 W × 12 D in · CF-BF-001-S
Medium — Recommended: 34 H × 29 W × 18 D in · CF-BF-001-M
Large: 46 H × 39 W × 24 D in · CF-BF-001-L

Medium is the recommended scale. Small and Large preserve the same approved form through uniform scaling. The gallery scale study compares all three editions in a real interior with a 5′8″ / 173 cm adult contour.

Material and making

Hand-carved from solid teak and made to order. Natural grain, small tonal shifts and subtle hand-finished transitions are intrinsic to each work. Custom sizing may be requested and is quoted separately after placement, proportion, structure, delivery route and lead time are reviewed.
